Bell , Willie Willie Bell participated in football and track for Portland's Benson High School. During his high school career he won the 1964 state championship in the 100 yard dash at 10.1 seconds and set the Portland Interscholastic League record in the 100 yard dash at 9.8 seconds. In 2009, Bell was inducted into the Portland Interscholastic League Hall of Fame.
