Woods , LaReina
LaReina Woods was one of the state of Oregon's most versatile female high school athletes. While an athlete at Corvallis high school she won state championships in the 100 meters and 200 meters, and was an All-State basketball player as well as attaining All-State and All-State tournament honors in volleyball. She won the state 100 meters in the following years:

and won the 200 meters

After high school she enrolled at the University of Oregon where she continued to excel at sprinting and volleyball. She set the University of Oregon 100 meter record at 11.58 sec. in 1993, and in 1996 set a personal record of 23.84 sec. for 200 meters. Other highlights include a PAC-10 championship in the 100 meters and division 1A All-American honors for the 4 x 400 meter relay. In 1993, she was part of a school record 44.76 sec. for the 4 x 100 meter relay and a PAC-10 team championship. Other individual honors include:
1993 Higdon Trophy (School's top female athlete, scholarship and citizenship) for her participation in track and volleyball.

1995 & 1996 Mary Officer Award (highest point total on track team.)

1996 Jackson Award (Top senior woman athlete.)
