Hand , Annette
Annette Hand (Peters) was a middle distance runner at the University of Oregon (1987-1988.) While at Oregon she was a two-time Winbigler performer of the year award winnder and in 1988 she won the Jackson Award as the best senior woman athlete at the University of Oregon. Among her other achievements were:
Four time All-American, 1988 NCAA 5000 meter champion, five time PAC-10 champion, three national titles and in 1987 placed fifth in the NCAA Womens' Cross Country Championships to lead Oregon to the championship. In 1988, she set four PAC-10 records.

In 1992, she was a member of the U.S. Olympic
team at 3000 meters and later won three USA Track & Field national championships:

1994 3000 meters, 9:01.69
Annette Hand Peters was inducted into the University of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
