Smith , Akili
Kabisa Akili Maradufu Smith was a Parade All-American quarterback at Abraham Lincoln high school in San Diego and later attended Grossmont junior college where he was the top junior college quarterback in the country before playing at the University of Oregon from 1997 through 1998. His senior year at Oregon he threw for 3,763 yards and 32 touchdowns which earned him second team All-American honors, and PAC-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
He was drafted in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft (third overall) by the Cincinnnati Bengals (1999-2002). Smith also was later on the rosters of the Packers, Buccaneers and Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe. In 2007, he was a backup for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. During his NFL career he passed for 2,212 yards and 5 touchdowns while rushing for 371 yards and 1 touchdown.
