Johnson , Chad
Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Miami Senior High School in Florida. Johnson attended Langston University (Oklahoma) in 1996, but did not play football. He enrolled at Santa Clara Junior College in 1997 where he was a standout wide receiver. Johnson played during the 1997 and 1999 seasons, but sat out the 1998 season.In two seasons at Santa Clara Junior College he played in 20 games, 120 receptions, 2100 yards and 23 touchdowns. After his junior college career he played wide receiver for the Oregon State Beavers in 2000 where he averaged 21.8 yards per catch and teamed with T.J. Houshmanzadeh who also played receiver. Johnson's 97-yard touchdown against Stanford set a school record, and he finished his one season for the Beavers with 37 receptions, 806 yards and 8 touchdowns. John's Oregon State highlight came on a 74-yard touchdown reception that helped the Oregon State Beavers defeat Notre Dame in the 2000 Fiesta Bowl. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2001 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and was once again teamed up with Houshmanzadeh who was also drafted by the Bengals. Johnson has been a great Pro Bowl performer for the Bengals.
