Dixon , George
George Dixon was one of Portland, Oregon's earliest African American professional fighters, (not to be confused with George "Little Chocolate" Dixon who was the first Black to hold an official world championship in 1888.) Portland's George Dixon successfully fought as a welterweight during the 1920s and 1930s. The Oregon Journal referred to him as a local "colored" fighter.
