Vanderbundt , William William "Skip" Vanderbundt was a standout linebacker for the Oregon State University football team from 1965-67. In 1967, he led the team with four interceptions and served as team captain. Also in 1967, he was an All-Pacific Coast selection, Coaches All-American second team selection, and played in the East-West Shrine Game, Hula Bowl and Coaches All-American game. He was drafted in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers in 1968 and played with the 49ers from 1969 to 1977, and in 1976 was the 49ers team MVP. He finished his outstanding pro career with the New Orleans Saints (1978-81.) In 1972, he was a second team All-Pro selection. He was selected to the Oregon State University Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
