Kelley , Dan
In 1906, Dan Kelley became the first University of Oregon athlete to set a world record in track and field. He set world records in the 100-yard sprint (9.6 sec.), and the 220-yard sprint (21.1 sec.) In 1907, Kelley won the AAU long jump championship with a leap of 23 ft. 11 in, and in 1908 he won an Olympic Silver Medal in the Long Jump. He was inducted into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1980
