Musgrave , Bill
Bill Musgrave played quarterback at Grand Junction High School in Colorado where he was the 1985 Colorado High School Athlete of the Year. After high school he played for the University of of Oregon (1987-1990) where he was the 1990 team MVP, first team PAC-10 and an academic All-American. He led the Ducks to back to back bowls and set a school career passing record of 8,343 yards and 60 touchdowns. Musgrave was inducted in the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
In 1991, he was selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys, but was released during the preseason and went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers (1991-94) and the Denver Broncos (1995-96.) During his NFL career he passed for 402 yards and one touchdown. The Broncos released him in 1997 and he began coaching in the NFL and at the University of Virginia.
