Franklin , Red
Norman (Red) Franklin was a varsity football letterman at Oregon State University in 1932-33-34 and was an All-American in 1933. During his college career he twice had the school record for kickoff returns with 94-yard returns against Fordham and San Francisco his junior year. From 1935 to 1937 he played halfback and defensive back for the Brooklyn Dodgers of the National Football League. He was inducted into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1980, and the Oregon State University Sports Hall of Fame in 1991.
