Conner , Lester
In 1981 and 1982 Conner was a starter on Oregon State University's Pac-10 championship teams, and in 1982 he earned All-Pac-10 honors, All-American honors and was the PAC-10 MVP. His senior year he led the nationally ranked Beavers in scoring (14.9) per game, assists (5.1) per game and steals (3.0) per game. In the 1982 NBA draft, after two seasons at Oregon State University, he was selected 14th overall in the first round by the Golden State Warriors. During his 12 year NBA career he was well known for his tenacious defensive play with seven teams that included Golden State, Houston, New Jersey, Milwaukee, L.A. Clippers, Indiana and the Los Angeles Lakers. Connnor was inducted into the Oregon State University Hall of Fame in 1994.
