Mueller , Randy
Randy Mueller grew up in St. Maries, Idaho and in 1979 was a freshman quarterback for the Linfield football team. He did not play his first two years and broke his leg his junior year. His fourth year he guided Linfield to a Northwest Conference championship and national NAIA championship over Wiiliam Jewel (Mo.) Because of his injury he could have played one more year at Linfield, but instead decided to take a job as a scout for the Seattle Seahawks. After a successful career as a scout he was promoted to Director of Pro Personnel in 1990, and once again in 1995 he was promoted to Vice President of Football Operations for the Seahawks. He eventually moved on to a General Manager position with the New Orleans Saints before being fired by the Saints in 2002. After his time with the Saints he became a football analyst for ESPN.
