Preece , Steve
Steve Preece was born February 15, 1947 in Boise, Idaho and played quarterback for Oregon State University from 1966 to 1968. In 1967, Oregon State University finished the season ranked seventh in the nation with Preece voted team MVP, and in 1968 the team was ranked 13th nationally, and Preece was once again team MVP. After college Preece played 9 years in the NFL as a quarterback/defensive back. He played for various NFL teams that included New Orleans (1969), Philadelphia (1970-72), Los Angeles Rams (1973-77). Preece finished his NFL career with 14 interceptions for 179 yards. In 1988, he was elected to the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the Oregon State University Sports Hall of Fame in 1991,
