Love , Stan
Stan Love is a native of Englewood, California where he graduated from Morningside High School,and later played center for the University of Oregon basketball team from 1967 through 1971. During his career he was an All-American selection in 1970 and 1971, and was an All-PAC-8 and Team MVP the same years. Love was also a three-time All-Far West Tournament selection. He scored 1,644 points over his career and averaged 20.8 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. In 1971, he was the number one pick of the NBA's Baltimore Bullets as a forward. He played six seasons of professional basketball in the NBA and American Basketball Association (ABA) for the Bullets, Lakers, and the San Antonio Spurs (ABA). During his professional career he averaged 6.6 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. Love was inducted into the University of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.
